Microwave “baked” apples

Ingredients: 

1 apple, cut into thin slices 

¼ tsp cinnamon 

Pinch nutmeg 

¼ tsp ginger 

2 tsp honey or brown sugar 

Optional toppings: vanilla yogurt, whipped cream, granola, nuts, or seeds 




Directions: 

  1. Slice apple in thin slices 

  2. Put in microwave-safe bowl. Toss with cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and honey. Put in microwave for 1 minute.  

  3. Stir apple and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until apples are soft. 

  4. Top with fresh whipped cream, or vanilla yogurt and sprinkle of granola or favorite crunchy nut.
